Our approach to manufacturing goes beyond just energy management; it also encompasses a strong focus on minimising waste. Through the implementation of strict quality control measures at every stage of production—starting from the careful selection of raw materials all the way to the final finished product. We ensure that waste is kept to an absolute minimum. This not only reduces our environmental impact but also enhances the efficiency of our operations.
Sustainability Opportunity Policy
Our Sustainable opportunity policy is based on the principle that by integrating health, safety and environmental considerations into all aspects of our business, communities and the environment to achieve sustainable growth.
By combining eco-conscious practices with a dedication to superior product quality, we strive to set a benchmark in the industry for responsible manufacturing and every product that leaves our facility reflects our commitment. At Canaria Tex, we are proud to lead the way in sustainable manufacturing while maintaining the integrity and performance of every product we create.
Use of Solar Energy
We have installed over 150KVA solar power generation system to operate our factory and office building. This shift supports our commitment to sustainability and green energy by reducing our reliance on non-renewable power sources.
Waste Management
We have trained our staff to adopt energy-saving habits. Canariatex have implemented strategies to reduce standby power consumption and promote environmental responsibility. Where needed, auto shut power switches installed.
UNEP Textile Initiative
We follow the UNEP Textile Initiative which provides strategic leadership and encourages sector-wide collaboration to accelerate a just transition towards sustainability and circular textile value chain.

In line with this, we actively engage in initiatives set forth by prominent councils and organizations focused on fostering sustainable practices within industries worldwide.
One of our key initiatives is centered around promoting sustainable cotton production in Pakistan, a country where the cotton industry plays a significant role in the economy. Our team at Canaria Tex has been particularly enthusiastic about the recent development of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI). This collaboration is a critical milestone, as it aims to ensure that all cotton produced in Pakistan is not only traceable but also meets high sustainability standards.
By supporting and contributing to such agreements, Canaria Tex actively supports the Better Cotton Initiative’s vision of transforming cotton production into a more environmentally friendly and socially responsible process. This partnership helps improve the livelihoods of cotton farmers, reduces the environmental impact of cotton farming, and promotes better working conditions across the entire cotton supply chain.
The signing of the MoU reflects our shared belief in the potential of traceability and sustainability to drive long-term positive change in global cotton production. We look forward to the positive outcomes this collaboration will yield for Pakistan’s cotton industry, the environment, and the communities involved in its production.
