Four things to look out for…
1. Know what you want.
You will need to know the technical specification of the product you want to buy.
For example, for towels you will need to specify the GSM, Packaging, Yarn count to the supplier.
In the case of bedding specify thread count, yarn count and composition of the bedding required – for example 100% Cotton or Polycotton.
Depending on your budget you will select a specific product(s) and send you enquiries to the bedding / Towel suppliers.
2. Price
Price isn’t everything! Remember the famous Chinese proverb “Cheap things are not good; good things are not cheap.” Other factors such as bedding suppliers reliably, quality and speed of delivery will matter too.
3. Quality.
Once you’ve started communication with a supplier – send them samples of what is required with setting a clear expectation. If you don’t have samples – ask supplier to send some of their samples to check overall qualities and varieties they are producing.
4. Service & Reliability.
Overall communication from the supplier – quickness and clarity, supplier’s reliability in terms of speed of delivery and meeting commitments are also very important factors.
